About CLIC

SanFelice

The Comparative Life Course and Inequality Research Centre (CLIC) promotes policy-relevant research on educational and job careers, trajectories of families, fertility and health, transitions to retirement and successful aging. It aims to study how individuals’ pathways from birth to death unfold over the life course in relation to individual characteristics, institutional contexts as well as historical events, and how these contribute to the production of social inequality.

CLIC was launched with an inauguration lecture by Prof. Glen H. Elder on the 22nd of April 2013.

Activities

CLIC provides an interdisciplinary forum for doctoral researchers, post-doctoral fellows, professors and visiting scholars who are engaged in the cross-national comparative study of life course inequalities. The Center will organize public events that bring together people from the EUI and other research centers and universities who are interested in life course studies and longitudinal data analysis. It will also serve as a platform for initiating research and writing research proposals on life course and social inequality topics written by researchers, post-docs and senior scholars.
